Animated Christmas Musical set for Nov. 2007

Renegade Animation has finished animation on its first animated film, the upcoming animated
musical 'Christmas is Here Again'.
Produced in association with Easy To Dream Productions, this heart-warming holiday tale was
written and directed by Robert Zappia and based on a story told to him as a child by his father.
The flick stars the voices of Andy Griffith (Santa Claus), Norm MacDonald, Jay Leno (Narrator),
Kathy Bates, Edward Asner, newcomer Madison Davenport(Sophianna) and Shirley Jones (Mrs. Claus).
Renegade produced the animation entirely at its studio in Glendale using its proprietary "paperless"
animation pipeline: a mix of traditional cel combined with Flash animation. The studio claimed
that this technique allowed them to animate the film in nine months, using a small team of animators.
The movie follows the story of a young girl Sophianna, a mildly disabled orphan, who attempts to
recover Santa's magical toy sack along with a frightened caterpillar, a feisty elf, an ambitious
reindeer, a fox and a polar bear. Together, they have the adventure of a lifetime.
The holiday flick is set to open sometime in November 2007.
